Greenwood Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
Decent matcha for a decent price in South Brooklyn. Not particularly strong, not particularly weak. Good vegan options, staff here is bilingual and apparently their desserts are pretty good. It is what I consider a gentrified cafe and a modern take on old world asian classics.
Greenwood Cafe is an excellent spot for desserts! The treats are beautifully made and absolutely delicious. The service is outstanding, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!
I thought the coffee was great. Saw an espresso machine so i was glad. And they have almond milk! Greenwood latte had matcha foam on top w a bit of coconut shaving, aesthetically pretty and not sweet which i'm happyy about. Soymilk egg tart is nice for someone who likes soy milk 豆浆 i liked it. Quick snackie. Lots of interesting small cake option. (no pic): matcha strawberry - good matcha flavor, not too sweet, liked the tartness of the strawberry puree paired with the milk n matcha. cake - i think it was a sponge cake, hit the sweet tooth craving, my friend enjoyed very much
Greenwood cafe is such a hidden gem off of 8th Ave with delicious strawberry matcha and truly unique basque cheesecake slices. My boyfriend and I tried the strawberry and Biscoff slices and were very impressed. We’ll definitely be back!
Delicious! Great tasting matcha with a wide variety of drinks. Basque cheesecake was amazing as well.
I went to Brooklyn from Long Island today and found this coffee shop. I ordered this taro towel roll and a box of Basque slices. Oh my god, it was so delicious. The skin of this mochi Basque is so chewy and can be drawn. The Basque is so smooth. This is the best Basque I have ever eaten.
I found out about this place on tik tok and was super excited to try it for whenever I was in the area. I'm a sucker for sweet treats and this was quite good. The only thing was that the matcha from the tart had a very grassy taste. I enjoyed these for the most part and would love to come back to try more items on their menu! It's not too sweet imo, the perfect amt of sweetness. The basque cheesecake was surprisingly small but it's worth it for the price! Yummm
The strawberry matcha was genuinely one of the best i've had in nyc so far. Plenty of dessert options that arent too heavy and just the right amount of sweet. Loved, lovedd the food, will definitely be back!!

One of the standout delights here is the Greenwood latte, crowned with a delicate matcha foam and a hint of coconut shavings. It’s an aesthetic and flavorful touch that avoids excess sweetness, letting the natural bitterness of matcha shine.
